LA ROUX just kicked off a world tour. I almost didn't post this video, but it's the only one I could find with this version of 'In for the Kill'. It's posted for the music as opposed to the imagery. If you have a direct personal connection to the events of 9/11, you may not want to watch this one...
Check out this video. It's a bit brutal in it's message - perhaps a reflection of the morality of religion in society today (?). The ending is awesome. I'll let you interpret it's intended meaning and it's implications...
P.E. has serious roots in hip-hop, that run all the way into the first generation of snowboarding. I can still hear chicken, rolling his yellow rabbit, mega bass thumping government camp. That was 19 years ago, and P.E. is still throwing down. The long and whining road is a retrospective the spans that entire period.
Be sure to click the HD button after you hit play. Amazing streaming quality coming from utube these days.
NIN was one of dozens of bands that played last year at the Pemberton Festival.
Was surreal to say the least, to see a band like this playing with Mount Currie as the backdrop.
You have to understand, Pemberton B.C. has a population of 3000 on a busy day, with just one stoplight. We had 45,000 people arrive along with bands like Coldplay, Jay-Z, Tom Petty and Nine Inch Nails(!!) The next Pemberton Festival is scheduled for summer 2010.
LAMB came from Manchester England, comprised of Andy Barlow & Lou Rhodes, and subsequently expanded to include bassist Jon Thorne, Danish drummer Nikolaj Bjerre, and Icelandic guitarist Oddur Runnarson. LAMB hasn't played together since 2004, ...until last Friday when they kicked off a 13 stop tour across Europe.
